Shade width refers to hardware width, not slat width, resulting in a small gap on each side when mounted inside. Thinner or empty window frames may not fully cover the gap, although it can be concealed by the frame in most cases.

Choosing the Right Size: For inside mounting, the shades width should be 1/4" smaller than the window's inside width, while outside mounting requires shades wider and longer by 4"-8" than the window dimensions.
